At a Glance

Loose watercolor is not about mastering a collection of eye-catching techniques—it is a way of seeing and interpreting the world.

The ability to interpret a scene rather than simply copy it lies at the heart of artistic expression. How do you move beyond being a “copying machine”? How do you learn to select only what truly matters, simplify complex subjects, and transform them into expressive, personal works of art?

Throughout this workshop, you’ll explore the principles of composition, the power of large value and color shapes, lost and found edges, the balance between detail and negative space, and the delicate relationship between water, light, and color. Special attention will be given to creating atmosphere and emotion while avoiding unnecessary detail.

Each day combines live demonstrations, in-depth instruction, and hands-on studio practice with individual guidance. Regardless of your current skill level, you’ll gain a clear and practical approach that will help you paint with greater confidence, freedom, and expression.

More than anything, this workshop is an opportunity to discover your own artistic voice—to create fresh, expressive watercolors that reflect your unique style rather than someone else’s.

A week that will change the way you see watercolor.

From the Artist:

An artist is not merely someone who creates works of art. That is simply a consequence. First and foremost, I am an explorer. My mission is to discover the world, to look for beauty around me, and to try to comprehend and truly see what surrounds me. Only then will I have something to share with you, to tell you about my impressions of this universe.

This is an endless process, but it leads to the creation of many unexpected artworks and projects. It is a privilege to be able to do what I love and to share my impressions and feelings with you.
